Electrical Inspections:

Maintaining code compliance & safety standards

Power Pro Electric holds itself to the strictest standards of NEC, including adherence to all local and national electrical codes. To ensure our customers’ home safety, reliability, protection, and investment, all the electricians at Power Pro Electric follow the National Electrical Codes to ensure homeowners can efficiently sell their homes.

When buying, selling, or contemplating a new home, homeowners ought to have electrical inspections performed to give surety of,

a) Your understanding of what you are getting into.
b) Keeping a house safe.

Even the wiring of newly remodeled homes might contain outdated components, inconvenient layouts, and other problems that could prove dangerous.

It is also essential to keep in mind that older homes might not adhere to the most up-to-date news since the codes are continuously being improved. While a home may meet code requirements, it might not meet the demands of a typical family. It is essential to have reliable power in the house as each of us uses several laptops, smartphones, screens, and other devices – an inspection will help you figure out what needs to be fixed.

Our technicians are highly trained and licensed. As a result, our technical staff is specially trained to spot potential problems and take correct action.

The following are some guidelines for avoiding electric code violations:

  • Bathrooms must contain GFCI outlets.
  • You cannot place receptacle’s face-up on a countertop
  • In front of every sink basin, there must be a bin within 3 feet.
  • It is imperative that there is at least one 20 amp type of outlet for high wattage appliances such as hair dryers to avoid overloading the receptacles branch circuit.

Common Rooms

  • In hallways, there must be at least one receptacle which should be longer than 10 feet.
  • You should mount receptacles on walls that are larger than 24 inches wide.
  • Every wall receptacle should be placed 12 feet apart.

Kitchens

  • All countertop receptacles must be GFCI (ground fault current interrupter).
  • In general, there must be no receptacles higher than 20 inches above the countertop (exceptions might be made for physically disabled people or islands or peninsulas).
